Project Engineer

Job description / Role

• Participate in the delivery of the project from the initial order through to the achievement of the construction
• Review and check engineering drawings, plans, computations, estimates and reports for completeness, accuracy, and soundness of applied engineering principles and Qatar standards and policies.
• Provide guidance and work supervision for other engineering and technical personnel as required by projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of engineering practice; in GCC countries and preferably with international engineering practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task and work/deliver under pressure.
• Knowledge of applicable local regulations and safety rules
• Ability to read and interpret construction contracts, specifications, and any other documentation associated with the construction project.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required by the construction project
• Civil engineer principles and techniques
• Creation of project program/schedule
• Computerized drafting
• Project schedule management (resource locating and forecasting)
