Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Project Engineer is responsible for handling projects during the Design and Construction phase and for ensuring that all project parameters and construction schedules are met.

Coordinates with the mall tenant coordinator and gets the necessary approvals for site works.
Assists in construction permits.
Maintains awareness of construction contracts of the contractor, schedules and programs.
Launches construction work on site.
Coordinates between different contractors.
Insures Quality standards are implemented (site setting out documentation). Corresponds with the office and keeps relevant records.
Ensures safety and security of site.
Receives quotes for minor works and takes appropriate action.
Monitors work progress.
Coordinates furniture installation and receives materials at site.
Coordinates with different departments within the organization.
Monitors quantity take off from site for final account settlement.
Approves payment and quantities verification.
Monitors storing and warehousing activities.
Oversees compilation and effective rectification of snagging list/s and handovers completed jobs to Operations departments.
Ensures payments are settled (final settlement and defect liability period). Guides and monitors the Foremen in their day-to-day work.

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge:

University degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in finishing and MEP works

Competencies:

Ability to read technical drawings and convert them into a project plan
Proficient in MS Office & MS Project applications
Auto Cad skills
Fluent in written and spoken English
