Project Engineer

Job description / Role

Kentz currently have a requirement for a Project Engineer, with a Civil / Structural background. This position will be based in Dubai, on a 12 week on and 2 week off rotation. Single status assignment.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that project team is well informed, motivated and working effectively and efficiently.
- Responsible to the Project Manager for the successful execution of assigned work.
- Control of the manpower on assigned work(s) and shall liaise directly with the Project manager for manning and demanning of technical staff.
- Interface with the Clients engineers for the project and ensure that all reasonable requests are met.
- Ensure that project team is well informed, motivated and working effectively and efficiently.
- Keep project on schedule.
- Keep control of man-hours / overtime.
- Keep track of efficiency / productivity.
- Ensure inputs to weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor extra work and claims and advise P.M.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering, ideally Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 5 - 8 years Experience as a Project Engineer in a construction environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with all levels of staff, clients, suppliers, and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and/or support multiple projects with multiple teams concurrently.
- Organizational agility and drive for results is a must.
