An excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the largest construction business in the Middle East. This position will oversee total Engineering efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with designs, budgets, scope, contractual requirements and schedule. This position will be reporting to Technical Manager.


Job responsibilities include:

1. Ability to transform the conceptual designs into engineering specifications.
2. Responsible for engineering, scheduling, costs, industrial relations, safety, environmental and quality aspects of the Project.
3. Follow project procedures, budget reviews and initiate project activities as per plan.
4. Promote total job safety and environmental awareness.
5. Ensure all activities relating to quality are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract.
6. Continuously monitor technical issues related to project activities and provide support to identify and resolve discrepancies as they may occur.
7. Forecast Manpower Resource Requirements for the project in liaise with Technical Manager.
8. Control and motivate the workforce and manage the employee disciplinary process as necessary.
9. Direct, evaluate and develop staff directly or through multiple levels of supervision.
10. Managing client and consultant relationships.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in Public Buildings (Offices Buildings, Health Care Buildings, Residential Buildings, Universities, etc). as Engineering Manager in which 5 years preferably in GCC.
2. Understanding of OH&S, Environmental and QA requirements.
3. You will have demonstrated experience in Contracts administration, design coordination, stakeholder and client management and document control.
4. You will have strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
6. Engineering Degree in Civil/Architectural stream.
