Job description / Role
Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed as a Consulting Engineer by Mazoon Electricity Company (MZEC) in Oman to perform the consultancy services for three years for reviewing, designing, monitoring and supervising the construction of primary substations, 33&11 KV OHL and U/G line works, distribution substation and also associated gird stations.
Due to this we are currently looking to recruit a number of Engineers to be part of this project.
The role will be based in Muscat and will need to travel to the various sites in Oman. This role will be part of an exciting project and represents an exceptional challenge and it is essential that you have a track record in being involved in significant power distribution projects.
At the moment we are looking to appoint Project Engineers (Monitoring with HSE skills)
Responsibilities:
- Management of electrical activities for the substation construction and coordination between contractor and his subcontractor for the electrical construction/ installation
- Monitoring and tracking of project
- Proactive assessment of the risk/uncertainty involved.
- Stage inspection of the manufactured product locally to comply with quality standards
- Auditing report for related works study and reply
- Measuring the ongoing project activities
- Monitoring the project variables (cost, effort, scope etc.) against project management
Requirements
- Bachelor degree of Engineering in Electrical
- Should have minimum 10 yrs. experience in the similar field in which 5 year gulf countries preferable
- Primavera Knowledge
- Risk assessment
- Quality auditing
- Technical reporting experience
- HSE skill for different construction project
- Pre contract engineering services
- Good communication skills in English
