The Role


The Role

A leading Bank in the Sultanate of Oman invites applications from experienced and skilled IT Professionals for the position of Project Executive – IT to be located at their corporate office in Muscat. The position would be reporting to Head of Special IT Project.

Key Responsibility:

 Overall responsibility of IT Project execution from initiation to successful completion.
 Responsible for understanding new systems and configure as per Bank specific requirement.
• Responsible for requirement gathering, specification design and conceptualizing solutions for business need.
• Responsible for defining test plan, creating test scripts and software testing using test management and automated testing tools.
• Responsible for managing IT Help desk to provide application support to the users

• Core Banking configuration for implementation of banking products
• Banking Domain Knowledge
• Design and development of new business functionality based on available resources
• Test Planning and Automated Testing tools
• Knowledge of CRM, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Business Process Management
• Knowledge of information security policy and standards, disaster recovery planning and business continuity planning.
• Hands on experience on the following or related IT Systems/products: -
• Finnacle, Flexcube, Bankmaster, IBSNet, NetIMEX, Swift Alliance
• ATM switch, Avya IVR, Call Centre, SMS Banking
• JBoss, IBM Websphere MQ, J2EE, XML, IBM Websphere, Web technologies
• HP-UX, Windows 2003, Linux, Oracle, MS-SQL
• Ms-Projects, Mercury Test Tools

Requisite:

• Engineering Graduate
• Minimum one year Post Graduate diploma in computer science from recognized university or two years Post Graduate diploma in computer science from private institutes.
• Minimum 4 years of IT experience, preferably in banking domain
• Good communication and people management skills.

Preferences:

• Java or Oracle certified professionals
• Banking Domain Experts
