Project HSE Manager

Job description / Role

Overall Responsibility:

To provide daily professional supervision, knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of HSE programs. Also he will be responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of HSE programs to assure compliance with regulatory guidelines and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HSE management system to support the achievement of the company Health & Safety policies and business objectives.

Provides a comprehensive day to day divisional health, safety and security service to support the project activities and associated processes.

Develops and implements a divisional comprehensive audit plan and conducts Heath, safety and security audits.

Ensure personnel training and corrective action follow-up is completed.

Ensures compliance with all applicable state and local legislation and codes governing environmental health and safety.

Develops and implements accident investigation, data analysis, and recurrence prevention programs and procedures.

Investigates and evaluates new safety equipment for appropriateness.

Interface with regulatory agencies, committees, members and institutional staff to formulate corrective actions.

Requirements

Bachelor'a Degree in Safety, Engineering or equivalent. from internationally recognized and accredited university.

Professional HSE qualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, etc)

Minimum 10 years post graduate experience in HSE management of major roads and highways projects including 5 years in similar role.

Qualified Auditor

Proficiency in spoken and written English

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
