Qatar Based Chemical Business Project Management Officer

This client is an Chemical and Petrochemical business based in Qatar. They are the leading players in their field and they have ambitious growth plans. USD25 billion will be invested in the State of Qatar up until 2020 in the chemicals and petrochemicals fields with an objective to support and grow the industry towards a sustainable diversified economy. The Role

The role include but will not be limited to the following:
Assist in, maintaining and enforcing a comprehensive project management methodology that remains adaptable to the emerging needs of a dynamic and growing organization
Partner with senior managers to assign priorities, determine resource allocations and define project interdependencies
Assist the PMO team coordinating, allocating and assigning project management resources
Coordinate project progress relative to scope, schedules, costs, resources, quality and risks
maintain a resourcing plan; undertaking recruitment and selection as required to meet emerging business needs
Provide day to day assistance to Project Manager
Assist the Head of PMO to Develop and maintain the PMO vision, inclusive of annual continuous improvement plan
Identify, recommend and implement business process improvements
Will develop and apply industry best practices in managing the day to day activities of projects.

Requirements

The Person

The ideal candidate will have experience in a PMO or PM capacity and could well be accredited with a project management qualification such as Prince II. They must be willing to be based in Qatar. They must also have an interest if not experience in the Chemicals industry.
