Project Manager – Buildings – Macau

New Casino and Hotel Development
Location: Macau
Competitive Salary – Expatriate role

A new mega project comprising a casino and hotel development on the Cotai Strip of Macau has now commenced with our client, the owner operator of casino and hotel operations. A US conglomerate, this project is valued at USD4B and comprises a 550 sq.m. Casino, a 1,700 key hotel with Gondola and Performance Lake. The project has just come out of the ground and is now at structure phase with the commencement of MEP and Fit Out. We now a Project Manager for the retail fit out of the high end retail boutiques and strip of the Casino. There are 58 retail outlets who are "high end".

Reporting to the Construction Manager and as the client’s representative, this role will be managing respective site teams, contractors and consultants; the candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Monitor the operations of all contractors and ensure all contractors are coordinating at the site level for finishing elements specifically.
• Review, monitor and update the weekly submittal schedule report
• Review the accuracy of all contractors daily, weekly and monthly reporting
• Monitor site logistics arrangements; site security operations; delivery and storage of equipment and materials on site
• Assist the HSE staff to enforce environmental, health and safety standards at all times
• Proactively intervene to prevent delay and disruption; provide solutions to site coordination issues; monitor and record delays on deliverables from consultant and contractors
• Proactively manage the contractor to achieve outstanding quality and a defect free finished product.
• Monitor the performance of the supervision consultant, and the compliance of contractors with approved method statements
• Expedite issues of NOCs and other permits and licenses
• Maintain log of all contractors major equipment and resource on site

Requirements

The attributes we seek include:

• Degree qualification in Construction / Engineering / Architecture or comparable experience will be considered.
• 10+ years' experience with at least 7 years' experience on major commercial projects with finishing expertise being essential. This role suits a specialist retail Project Manager with strong design interpretation.
• Must be able to drive projects for performance results and display proven leadership abilities.
• Major project experience essential (>USD70mill) required.
• Candidates with expatriate experience, ideally in Asia or the Middle East, will be viewed favorably.
