Job description / Role
We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager - Design Change, you will manage all design related activities for a major multi-million dollar project. Interact with Clients, Contractors, and Consultants throughout the project design lifecycle. Proven experience dealing with pre-contract design and post-contract Design & Build works.
- You will participate in strategic reviews of Design activities for specific projects.
- Provide contractual and technical guidance to assigned personnel, and ensure proficiency and timeliness of contract administration.
- Collaborates with client and project management consultant to ensure proper support in proposal preparation and administration.
- Review requests for proposals to identify changes to scope and contractual terms not conforming to policy.
- Assist in the preparation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position may be appropriate.
Requirements
- Bsc Degree in Design / Architecture / Quantity Surveying / Construction.
- 15 years of design review and management experience within a large international engineering or construction firm, at least 10 of them working in a similar capacity or similar companies supporting large construction and infrastructure projects.
- Experience working in the Middle East is preferred.
- Have a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity is also required.
- The ability to work part of a specialist team, combined with the self-motivation required to work with minimal supervision.
