The Role


The Role

A leading client of KPMG Oman is seeking to recruit a Project Manager for a Special Economic Zone in Oman.
The key responsibilities shall include:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of paraprofessional and professional engineering staff engaged in site construction administration, traffic engineering studies, surveying, roadway or flood control design, or similar engineering projects. Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff and trains/develops staff.
Serve as a technical specialist for public works staff in the application of engineering and practices for an assigned area of responsibility, such as hydrography traffic or survey.
Maintain liaison and coordinate work with other departmental sections and divisions, as well as with other public and private organizations.

Requirements


Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of total work experience is required
- 4 to 5 years of work experience in similar role in technical supervisory role for public works is required.
- GCC project experience is desired
- Ability to exercise independent judgment is required.
- Ability to plan, assign and evaluate the work of technical and support staff.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Should be able to manage the staff and issue clear instructions to them.
