The RoleThe RoleTo project manage the installation and decommission of furniture for clients from quote generation to job completion. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, developing and delivering assigned projects within scope, schedule, budget and Client boundaries. The Project Manager teams with technical and professional staff, consultants, designers, and contractors. Effective communication, reporting, coordination and fiscal control are essential delivery elements to ensure client satisfaction, company satisfaction and financial success. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fully comprehend the wants and needs of the clients before developing a furniture plan. Effective development, planning, and implementation of projects within schedule and budget. Responsible for delivery of project from inception to completion, including: document management, change of scope, scheduling, quality management, procurement, and approvals. Precisely measures room's dimensions and recommends appropriately-sized furniture. Prepares customer quotes based on labor requirements and retail costs. Offer value-added solution by providing cost beneficial alternatives. Ensure continuous improvement and successful delivery of projects. Good planning and coordination to maximize beneficial use by clients while minimizing their disruption. Grows existing client base through exceptional service and mutual respect. Promotes the products of our suppliers through designers. Uses problem solving abilities to address challenges presented by various projects. Desired Skills Organization - Prioritize and complete projects in the midst of constant change. Ownership - Take responsibility for results. See it through completion. Listening – To enable the incorporation of clients’ requests into proposals. Initiative - Solve problems. Challenge yourself. Knowledge of contract language/blue print interpretation. Ability to connect with customers and gain respect/trust. Preferred Background. Most employers require a bachelor's degree in design, architecture or a related field. Extensive experience in the field may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
