Our client, who is a major international engineering contractor, requires an experienced Project Manager to join them on an exciting highways project on a permanent basis in Qatar.

A successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of delivering a project on a major programme of highways and infrastructure development works.

Duties

• Manage the construction supervisor to facilitate delivery of construction, coordinating logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities to contractual technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements.
• Monitor works to confirm they are being carried out in accordance with the operations strategy standards, policies, procedures and best practices.
• Liaison with Client, Designers and key stakeholders
• Ensure best safety practices employed during construction
• Obtain the required support to assist in the timely payment of invoices and resolution of variations and claims

Requirements

The Requirements

• Significant experience as a Project Manager on highway & infrastructure projects.
• Experience of highway projects of 400m QAR ($390m)
• BSc qualified
• Sufficient experience in design and build projects
• Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC preferred
