Job description / Role
Qatar Building Company (QBC) is currently looking to hire a Project Manager with the following profile:
Overview:
He will be responsible for the planning, organizing and management of resources to successfully complete QBC construction of specific projects, by achieving all project goals and objectives including schedule, budget, quality and safety in accordance with the contract documents.
Responsibilities:
Participates in the preparation of project tenders, through providing inputs on high-level project plans, as required by the tendering function.
Develops a project execution plan ahead based on the available information and through the cooperation with QBC contracting divisions other functions, and allocates required resources depending on the scope and scale of the project and submits the plan to the Operations Manager for review and approval.
Develops high-level plans according to set RFPs in coordination with the concerned functions within QBC contracting division.
Supervises and monitors project progress in coordination with the allocated project team to ensure full compliance with technical specifications.
Tracks project against its schedule, budget, quality, safety and against set and agreed objectives and standards.
Handles the preparation, review and consolidation of progress reports related to on-going project for the submittal of project overall status/ progress reports.
Coordinates all contractual matters related to the project arising during construction with affected departments and submits appropriate assessment to the Operations Manager.
Reviews all reports prepared by subordinates and prepares periodic reports with respect to the project activities and achievements to be submitted to the Operations Manager.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
10 to 15 years of experience in handling Infrastructure and Utilities projects.
Previous experience in GCC is a must.
Professional knowledge in project management.
People management skills including ability to lead, motivate and inspire employees.
Strong planning and organizing skills.
Computer literacy: MS windows applications (Project, word, excel, outlook) and other tools related to project management and planning such as Primavera.
Good verbal & written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
