The RoleThe RoleTo take accountability for the full SDLC including planning, structuring, leading, executing and implementing large and complex, fully integrated investment banking projects of high complexity in a predominantly SAP Banking environment. Responsible for coordinating the programme team consisting of business analyst, process developers, systems analysts, software developers, testers and training staff. Ensuring that the business is ready to implement the change. Liaising with the business at all levels, ensuring that all appropriate stakeholders are appropriately engaged and that appropriate governance and plans are in place. Specific responsibilities will include: „X Managing the projects budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realized deliverables and benefits as the project progresses. „X Planning the project and monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate „X Building, managing and motivating the project team. „X Ensuring the scope of the project is delivered to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan. „X Responsibility for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the project. „X Ensure that any changes to the project scope are appropriately managed „X Managing vendors and other third party contributors to the project as appropriate. „X Providing appropriate communication with all stakeholders „X Analysing and managing all issues associated with the project „X Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects. „X Managing and mitigating the risks to the project¡¦s successful outcome „X Reporting progress of the project at regular pre-arranged intervals with all relevant stakeholders |
RequirementsRequirementsEducation Graduate: •5-10 years of experience in project management in an investment banking environment •Project or programme professional qualifications an advantage Technical Skills: •Excellent project management disciplines, including planning, risks and issues management, coordination of multiple projects, dependency management, quality assurance and delivery of post implementation reviews •A strong business focus and the ability to contribute to solution development at both a strategic and tactical level •Solid experience of implementation full SDLC of Investment Projects (front, middle and back office) in the past including the following products: o Equities, Options, Futures, Bonds, FRNs, Swaps, etc o Islamic instruments an advantage •Previous experience of implementation Thomson Investments preferred •Experience of integrating systems in a SAP environment an advantage •Ability to drive project delivery consistent with ¡¥best practice¡¦ project disciplines •Understand budgetary control and resource allocation procedures •Vendor management skills and a real understanding of vendor related issues •Ability to focus the project to optimize benefits to the bank Behavioral Skills: •Leadership across multiple businesses and functions •Motivation and influencing skills •Strategic thinking •Gravitas •Communication, managing stakeholder expectations and updating steering committee (senior executives) on risks and issues •Problem solving •Organisation and discipline •Innovation |
