We require Project Managers to join our team to address expanding workload.

The positions will be based in our Abu Dhabi and Doha offices and will be client-facing positions, managing the delivery of multi-discipline Engineering Design projects. The Engineering Design team is located in Atkins Regional Design Centre in Sharjah, UAE. The Project Manager is responsible for Project Delivery, ensuring that Design Projects are delivered on schedule and to budget in compliance with the Project Execution Plan and Quality Plan. Reporting to the Middle East Senior Projects Manager, the role is fully supported by the Sharjah-based Project Controls team.

Preparation of commercial proposals and consolidation of engineering
Managing Contract hand-over post-award
Establish project scope and objectives, including design standards and specifications
Preparation of Project Execution Plan
Preparation of Project Quality Plan in compliance with Atkins Quality Management System
Manage the preparation of the Project Plan based on the technical and commercial proposal, identifying the contractual obligations and Atkins commercial objectives
Establishing the Project HSE Plan and ensuring that HSE performance remains highest delivery objective
Preparation of progress reports
Preparation and maintenance of the project programme with the Project Planner
In conjunction with the Design Manager and Chief Engineers, ensure that resources are available to execute the Project plan on schedule and within budget
Identifying and managing Design Stage Reviews in conjunction with the Design Team and Client requirements
Financial management of the project, ensuring cash flow objectives are met by ensuring timely progress, invoice preparation and submission and taking full accountability for reimbursement of services
Identify and manage project specific risks, including the preparation and maintenance of the Project Risk Register
Ensuring that all client-specified cost reporting activities are completed accurately and timely
Monitoring quality of the work through compliance with the Project Quality Plan and activities there-in
Managing change, including design and schedule changes, through compliance with Atkins Design Development and Project control processes
Appointment and management of all required sub-consultants or other services, including supplier evaluation and ensuring compliance in delivery of third party services in terms of HSE, Quality and contractual obligations

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Oil & Gas project management in the Middle East for Upstream and Midstream Production and Processing Facilities, preferably with large multi-discipline design projects in the FEED and Detailed Design phases. Although normally based in the home office, willingness to travel within the Region and flexibility to support project execution is a pre-requisite. The preferred candidate will be well organized, technically competent and an excellent communicator with a solid grounding in Project Management and Controls.
