Project Manager - Ports

Job description / Role

The Project Manager will be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle through the various stages of design to delivery of the port project -Management and coordination of engineering teams, project controls and planning resources-Management of engineering studies, project design teams and sub-consultants and managing client relationships. Undertaking the duties and obligations as necessary to achieve the satisfactory delivery of the project on time, within the approved budget and required quality Lead effective communication across the delivery of the project, client and stakeholder team Provide well founded advice and guidance to members of your project team Securing opportunity and repeat business through the high quality of your team service delivery

Requirements

Chartered degree qualified in Civil Engineering and ideally an MSc along with 25 years of professional experience minimum 10-15 years of working on similar ports/port operations projects have significant professional experience in Management of design teams for ports, port operations and container terminals experienced in regards to liaising with client and building strong relationships experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams track record of ensuring programme performance and delivery - extensive people management skills including development and mentoring - track record of experience in a consultancy with extensive exposure to client-facing work personable, approachable and with excellent presentation and communications skills previous international experience is preferred as is Middle East port experience
