The RoleThe RoleThe role of the Retail Project Manager is to actively manage construction and fit out of the Retail Centre at The Wave Muscat. The role includes the management of key stakeholders, contractors and sub contractors and Atkins Supervision team to ensure the safe delivery of fast tracked development on time and in line with the high quality specification demanded for this project. Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Client. Management of a team of multi discipline engineers, architects and inspectors. Attendance or representation as appropriate at all project related construction meetings. Monitoring and reporting on the contractor’s activities on site with respect to technical ad contractual compliance. Ensuring the adherence to project Health and safety plan and instructing appropriate action with regard to Health and safety issues. Preparation of Reports instructions and variations as required. Ensuring implementation of document control procedures. Reporting directly to the Client on the performance of the contractors with regard to quality of works and compliance with the contractor’s performance. Monitoring the contractor’s progress and advising the Client with respect to all programme related issues. Support all Departments as required to ensure the successful delivery of this project. Time/cost management and resource planning of all company site staff. Coordinating with other consultants and contractors on the project. |
RequirementsRequirementsTechnical Competencies Essential Degree qualified – minimum requirement of BE or other professional qualification Familiar with retail development construction and fit out supervision in the Middle East. Minimum of 10 years experience in Project Management; ability to manage projects and significant commercial experience Able to solve problems by thinking laterally and able to understand the needs and requirements of providing design solutions in a developing country Experience in building design Experience in team leadership Resource planning and cash flow forecasting Must be familiar with design, tender and construction processes Reasonable knowledge of the following software: project planning software and MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint |
