Project Manager – Roads & Utilities

Job description / Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager for a multi-billion infrastructure project in Doha, Qatar, to be responsible for the overall design direction, coordination, implementation, execution and control ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. You must have experience working on roads & utilities projects.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

•Lead the design and implementation of project and facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables. Define project tasks and resource requirements. Develop full scale project plans with a view of assembling and coordinating project staff

•Plan and schedule project timelines and track project deliverables using appropriate tools. Provide direction and support to project team. Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

Requirements

Bsc in Civil engineering, Chartered Engineer from a recognized professional body.

Minimum of 15 years post graduate, 8 years in major project design or construction. Good delivery, strong communication and presentation skills required.

Ability to identify potential problems and propose solutions. Ability to team build, organize staff and prioritize work. Ability to work well within and lead a design team. Experienced in Microsoft applications.

Ability to build a rapport with work colleagues.
