Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Provides direction and management of all smart city related issues in accordance with contractual obligations.
Responsible for the support of other involved Manager of the project to meet project goals and objectives.
Plan, organize, and supervise the work of the smart city team members to ensure all work in performed within the parameters of the project schedule.
Coordination with the design department to get update on the Smart city Services design Progress.
Assists in the clarification on constructability during early Design stages
Liaise with the instrumentation engineering team in the office for engineering clarifications, support and control during construction
Assists in the Review alternatives to the Design concept submitted by the Design Consultant(s) during tendering stage
Progress monitoring of related construction in collaboration with the time schedule
Update and Liaise with the Project Management and engineering team constantly about changes made in the field to Ensure timely processing of contract change orders.
Have complete knowledge of: drawings, specifications, general contracts and time schedules.
Plan, organize, and supervise the work of the ITS and smart city team members to ensure all work in performed within the parameters of the project schedule.
Coordinate with local authorities and third parties related to all necessary smart city requirements for the project.
Manage/ Coordinate Quality checks in liaison with the QA Manager during construction
Review and monitor the test schedules.
Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
Field responsibilities may include labour relations and local procurement, etc., if required
Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of the project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Initiate risk assessment of smart city project, review and endorse risk assessment results and recommend course of action to ensure mitigation of risks.
Manage the final inspections on completed projects, initiate ‘Contract Completion Certificates’ and ‘Handover Certificates’ after checking back-punch list items have been cleared by the contractor in order to complete and submit the project documentation dossier.

Requirements

Degree either in Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University
10 - 12 years of related work experience, at least 4 years in a comparable Position
Knowledge and experience with design of large scale MEP systems and infrastructure
Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Master degree on Control systems/Telecommunication will be a plus.
Experience on Systems Integration and Command Control Centres.
GCC experience on large interdisciplinary Projects is a must
Experience in all kind of high valued projects like Pump Station Projects, Waste Water Projects, Electrical Substation Projects, Telecom infrastructure Projects.
Experience in the construction of large industrial or infrastructural projects is highly preferred
Experienced in dealing with other employees and internal clients.
