Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
- Managing the execution project cycle to meet the required specification as per ADCB standard.
- Develop the project objectives, goals and communication plan.
- Directs, coordinates and executes the assigned activities, involved mainly in the implementation of the Branch Renovation and Fit Out Projects.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the construction project from start to finish
- Implement policies and procedures to support the provision of systematic project organization, project planning, budgeting and cost controls
- Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with the consultant, contractors and sub-contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project
- Perform project accounting functions including managing the budget and minimizing exposure and risk in the project
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities through regular job site visits and hold regular status meetings with consultant, contractor, sub-contractors including other stakeholders
- Ensure that construction activities move according to project schedule
- Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards
- Perform periodic inspection of construction sites and ensure that project documents are complete.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
- Manages the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas;
- Develop methods to monitor project or area progress and provide corrective supervision as necessary
- Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery.
- Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.

Non Quantifiable:
- Facilitate meeting with project stake holders /consultant and contractor work.
- Project cost data base management (MIS reporting).
- Project risk assessment and communication to management.

Other Duties:
- Preparation of correspondence and other related reports.
- Provide technical advice , negotiate variation orders and cross-verify payments.
- Ensure project team and staff training and development.

Requirements

- B.Sc. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology.
- Strong and current awareness of external trends and best practices.
- Experience: 5 years.
