Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Supreme Fuels is seeking qualified Construction Project Managers with experience in the Oil and Gas Sector, specifically bulk fuel installations.

The ideal candidate must be prepared to travel, and remain away from home for up to 14 weeks at any one time, self starter and very resourceful.
• Must be highly motivated to work alone for long hours and in dangerous, working and environmental conditions.
• Must be capable of working closely for long hours in small teams in dangerous environments.
• Is to be safety conscious and aware at all times when operating equipment or near equipment, construction sites and around military hardware.
• Needs to be comfortable working in a changing environment and solutions orientated. The typical Middle East and African Projects are in disputed regions. Must be comfortable around weapons and military situations

General duties
• Writing project scope and developing Work Breakdown Schedules for review by the Senior Technical Manager and Construction General Manager.
• Create site specific reports for input in to planning meetings with design professionals.
• Conduct regular reviews of schematic design drawings, design development drawings and construction documents.
• Ensure that timelines and critical path scheduling are followed.
• Attend construction job site meetings and communicate progress reports.
• Oversee on-site construction observations and document progress.
• Provide periodic construction reports showing detailed knowledge of the projects progress.
• Input site specific information on change order requests and present recommendations.
• Verify The Engineers recommendation for substantial completion and submit to the Superintendent.
• Coordinate walk-through inspections for administration of the handover to Fuel operations.
• Assist in development of snagging / punch lists and oversee successful completion.
• Ensure that the project completion, collection of close-out documents, and processing final payments are done in accordance with company procedures and the PMP principles.
• Assist in financial and estimation assessments to help plan future construction programs.
• Ensure all incidents, defects, product non conformances and contractor or customer complaints are reported and documented accordingly.
• Oversee the maintenance and service schedule records of construction equipment are adhered to.
• Act as a point of contact for any questions and concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction science or related field with an emphasis on engineering management or equivalent.
• Preferably Professional Accreditation with a recognized body. (ICE, CIOB,IEE, RIBA,PMI.CICES…)
• Minimum 10 years experience on construction and civil works projects.
