Project Manager

Job description / Role

Taking a senior role working on projects through all stages of a projects lifestyle, undertaking project management roles on behalf of our clients; Preparing and presenting proposals to new and existing clients; Demonstrating technical expertise, providing in depth knowledge and leadership whilst proactively coaching and developing more junior team members; Using practical management and engineering knowledge to perform high value consulting roles; Developing, maintaining and monitoring programmes for scheduling and reporting on deliverables across specific projects; Maximising profitability of projects, monitoring against budget, reacting to and anticipating potential problems.

Requirements

Proven successful experience of client side project management or technical advisory roles, in terms of commercial, contractual and resource; A degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline; The ability to identify opportunities with clients and to pass these onto the development team; Past experience of successfully leading teams to deliver complicated projects;

Good communication skills, with the ability to preserve internal and external working relationships; Working knowledge of project planning software; Good understanding of contractual issues and risks relating to the delivery of projects; Experience of working on a wide variety of projects such as buildings and infrastructure and being able to deliver projects on time; Self-motivated with good organisational capability and ability to work independently when necessary;

Previous experience of working for an engineering consultancy; Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities; Previous Middle East experience and prior experience of working on projects in Bahrain is an advantage.
