Job description / Role
Project Manager for a large multi million $ Building Project in Beirut
Will monitor the development of planning documents for initiation of projects and for approval by client, develop and monitor projects budgets, prepare construction contracts and monitor their proper execution and report on all phases of construction and take corrective measures to avoid/minimize delays
Will review contract plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate building codes and project’s requirements, manage and motivate the team of Engineers, and the relation with clients as well, building trust and ensuring repetitive business
Will coordinate with all parties involved in the construction process to ensure timely deliveries (materials delivery, executions…) according to quality, standards and schedules and manage the relation with architects, subcontractors and other third parties involved.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university. A Master in Engineering Management / MBA is a Plus.
Over 10 years experience in the Construction Sector and on the General Contractors side with minimum 7-10 years experience in senior positions such as Project Manager, Area Manager or Senior Project Manager with prime General Contractors mainly in the Buildings construction sector.
knowledge of project’s planning & control processes. Knowledge of construction management processes and procedures for building projects.
Knowledge of estimating, budgeting and scheduling practices.
Knowledge of building codes and standards of practices (FIDIC.)
Mature, patient and hardworking individual. Team leader and player. Strong technical background. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Details oriented. Computer literate with knowledge of Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects.. Bilingual: Arabic & English
