Project Manager

Job description / Role

- Ability to work with the assigned business sponsor to ensure that the project scope is finalized prior to the commencement of a project
- Ability to lead a team of project personnel consisting of functional analysts/ technical analysts (staff and/ or contracted independent contractors), and business personnel to the successful implementation of the documented project scope
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete a project.
- Manage the execution the project according to the project plan
In consultation with the Program/ Portfolio Manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
- Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and governance of the project
- Control assigned projects, including weekly status meetings, and monitoring of project spending
- Communicate status via a weekly status report

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited college/university is required
- 10+ years of implementation experience with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Large scale package software implementation experience, preferably with SAP
- Project Management experience and preferably PMP certified
- SAP software implementation experience
