Job Purpose:
As an important provider of engineering services with an established office, reputation and track record in the region for delivery of major projects, CH2M HILL is supporting our clients to provide program delivery services for their new projects.The Program is to initiate, plan and Deliver 11 x 45,000 seat stadiums concurrently throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within 2 years.

-Working closely with the Project Director and Precinct Leader to support the overall delivery of the project to agreed commitments, including:
- Managing the PMC dedicated precinct team and coordination of programme-wide technical resources to meet the needs of the project;
- Developing, in conjunction with the Project Director/Precinct Leader, a definition of the project.
- Ensure that the systems and tools are in place to deliver the project to plan safely, on time, to budget and to the required quality standard and specifications are in place.
- Support project planning in the following areas: Inception, planning, design, construction, commissioning and handover of the Precinct for a successful FIFA tournament and as part of sustainable communities in legacy
Coordination of the partners and working groups engaged in the project within the defined budget

Detailed project planning and control, including:
- Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan
- Monitoring project deliverables in line with the project plan
- Record, monitor and report on project issues, escalating where necessary and recommending solutions
- Recommend solutions to cross-functional issues at project level
- Utilise integrated project management systems and controls
- Managing project scope, change control, and project risk escalating where necessary
- Monitoring project progress and performance
- Maintain an active risk identification and mitigation process

Deliverables:
Providing regular status reports to the Precinct Leader, Project Director and programme leadership to monitor progress to scope, cost, schedule and risk management milestones
- Development of project delivery plan, aligned to the programme delivery strategy
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder communications plan
- Develop project concepts for precinct master plan and legacy master plan
- Advise the Precinct Leader on performance of the project on a daily basis Identification of performance issues and deviations in advance to address them with the Precinct Leader
- Assist in the day-to-day management of venue and precinct design and construction, and procuring and managing the consultants and contractors
- Ensure that lessons learned from the venue/ precinct are documented and shared for adoption on all others
- Work with the event planning and management consultants in delivering test events and the Tournament overlay

Reports to the Precinct Leader (Competition Venues)

Basic Qualifications

Requirements

-15+ years of industry experience managing and delivering complex design and construction projects (nominal project values in excess of QAR1B)
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes through provision of timely advice to leaders
- Must possess a driving personality that has successfully managed large design and construction contractors
- Demonstrates strong ownership and commitment to getting the project delivered
- Track record in safety, running a multi-disciplined teams, working with diverse stakeholders at all levels, and able to negotiate win/win
- Prior experience in the successful delivery of complex vertical construction projects
- Strong background in commercial project management and evidence of prior contractual accountability on large projects
- Prior experience in the Gulf State region (Qatar, Dubai, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia) is preferred
