Project Manager

Job description / Role

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading civil engineering contractor in the Middle East. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the leading foundation engineering contractors in the Middle East, who have worked on some of the largest construction projects across the Middle East and through recent project awards have exciting plans for growth over the next year

You will be required to:
- Provide commercial support to the preconstruction activities of the business, for selected tenders.
- Take a pro-active part in the effective handover of projects from preconstruction to the project delivery time.
- Involved in or take a lead in closing out contractual negotiations with clients with the objective of optimising contract conditions and mitigating the company's exposure to risk.
- Provide assistance to operations staff in validating tenders and preparing cost plans.
- Prepare and arrange internal project start-up meetings and provide strong commercial support & advice to the Project Manager
- Provide effective commercial management of subcontractors and where appropriate key suppliers, supporting the enquiry & procurement process as well as on-site management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified in Quantity Surveyor with a minimum 5 years experience working on piling projects in the Middle East.
