Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

PURPOSE:
To lead and manage the delivery of technical outputs for projects on time, to the quality required, and within the allocated budget, including primary client contact. This will be achieved by defining, controlling and delivering workflows in accordance with Mouchels QMS/IMS, whilst interfacing with Project Management Services, technical and managerial staff both in the local office and in Mouchels Design Centre (s).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the interface between Client technical and management team and MME Design Centre (DC) team, interpreting RFP requirements and controlling MME risk by creating clear accurate Internal Briefing Plans for DC.
- Manage the delivery of technical teams and the required outputs in accordance with the brief.
- Ensure that delivery is achieved in accordance with the following specific requirements:
- Health and safety requirements are adhered to and files and records are maintained
- Leading on project fees generation, monitoring and collection
- Legal documents are signed and commercial arrangements are clearly defined
- Programmes are established and maintained
- Change control is maintained
- Risk management is fully utilised
- PM tools are maintained
- Deliver Project Management excellence and innovation across Engineering Services.
- Responsibility for implementing resourced and costed project programmes using Microsoft Project or other approved planning tools, for individual or multiple projects.
- Manage and assist Team Managers in optimising the resource balance.
- Lead in the delivery of client outcomes, whilst meeting utilisation targets.
- Agreement of project briefs, proposals and deliverables with Client Services Portfolio Managers and other clients.
- Establish and maintain systems to produce financial, progress and performance reporting and management of project administration for all assigned project resources including, non-conformance reporting and actioning.
- Champion delivery in accordance with Mouchels management systems including Health and Safety, project, commercial and risk management.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the checking, certifying and authorising is completed for designs, documents, approvals, Professional Skill and Care Certificates and reports.
- Mentoring less experienced Project Managers in all aspects of project management.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering - essential
- Chartered or equivalent preferred.
- Achieved or actively working towards a Project Management qualification e.g. Prince 2, MAPM. Or demonstrable experience in a relevant role.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 12 years experience- essential.
- Minimum 5 years design/ design management experience on urban highway projects in the Gulf region- essential
- Excellent track record in the delivery of infrastructure, highways, or general civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience of the main management systems & processes used within similar consultancy business.
- Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams within a competitive business environment.
- Working with Public and Private sector clients essential.
