The Role


The Role

A leading contracting company is currently seeking a Project Manager to work on a Pumping station project in Kuwait. Suitable candidates will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years experience, the last 5 of which will have been spent in a Project Management position. You will have extensive experience in sewerage treatment plant and pumping station projects and will ideally be already based in Kuwait.

Requirements:
1. Experience in construction of Waste Water Treatment Plant or Pumping Station.
2. Work directly with a principal in the firm and have full responsibility in the planning and execution of projects.
3. Plan, define, and execute the project & select strategy.
4. Develop specification schedule and budget.
5. Organize the project team.
6. Assign duties and monitor progress.
7. Dealing with client and create good relationship with client.
8. Coordinate with and direct sub-contract.
9. Prepare and approve payment.
10. Must ensure that each work order is assigned a proper time limit and budget and that the work order is completed with best quality/time/cost combination and within the budget.
11. Ensure that safety programs and plans are elaborated, transmitted to plant personnel and observed by them.
12. Motivate staff to achieve maximum efficiency of operations.
13. Monitor the permit process to ensure that the commencement date of all assigned projects falls within the critical path schedule requirements.
14. Ensure that the Notice of Commencement is properly filed prior to the start of a project.
15. Coordinate the activities of engineers, surveys, architects and contractors.
16. Ensure that the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan is properly implemented and maintained.
17. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with the construction schedule.

Requirements


Requirements

1. Education: B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Language: Bilingual (Arabic and English)
3. Experience: 15 years in Engineering and Contracting Companies with extensive knowledge in the planning of a variety of project types.
4. Others: Strong diversified background in design, execution and management.
