Project Manager

* Acts as Leave replacement to the Project Director as appropriate
* Holds Project Management meetings periodically (monthly)
* Ensures progress on Quality action plan within project groups
* Reviews the update of Quality/HSE Management system and their procedures
* Identifies areas for efficiency improvement (typically projects execution)
* Monitors and Controls performance of Projects execution
* Reviews Project execution & quality plans, projects plan of works (PPW), Initial projects safety review (IPSR), Initial projects environmental review (IPER), Project control system
* Manages execution of project planning, control, and administration activities are in conformance with applicable quality system documents
* Co-ordinates with Principal Project Engineer / Engineers and ensures consistency in execution of project management activities.
* Participates in the progress review of projects
* Ensures Projects close-out and archiving
* Visits Clients and maintains public relations
* Helps in review of proposals, estimates and schedules & provides feedback
* Reviews projects planning & scheduling and defines actions together with Engineering Manager & Project Director
* Identifies project design works which requires sub-contracting
* Reviews the materials procurement and sub-contracting strategies
* Including but not limited to
* Identifies the resource requirements & training needs for project groups
* Identifies short term requirement of resources
* Identifies project management 'tools' requirements (e.g. IT)
* Attends monthly finance review meetings of relevant projects, reviews the project cost spent/ budget allocation and cost control measures

Requirements

* Masters degree or Bachelors' degree in Engineering
* Management training or management experience
* 15 years in Projects execution of which 5 years as Principal Project Engineer
* Proven ability to manage project groups and projects administration
* Broad technical knowledge of all professional areas within Mott MacDonald
* Management qualities, commercial thinking and cost consciousness
* Good knowledge of management techniques, business processes and core values of 'PRIDE'
