Employment: Full Time

Our company is bidding on a UN proposal in Somalia and seeking numerous candidates who would be interested in this potential opportunity.

Services for this contract include the provision of day-to-day catering/food service; basic medical services; laundry; and cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of all camp facilities, which collectively house several hundred residents in four locations in Somalia.

Responsibilities will include basic cleaning and laundry services for all the residents; basic furnishing of rooms and offices; standard, routine maintenance of vehicles stationed in each of the above-noted four camps; ad upon demand, basic construction works to improve the functioning of each camp; and 24/7 security of each camp

The Project Manager (PM) will have the overall responsibility for the provision of services at all locations and accountable directly to executive management. The PM will be responsible for administration, conduct and performance of all Company personnel, including HR matters to include leave and rest, duty rosters, staff discipline, pay and allowances, travel, security, appropriate insurance cover, medical and general welfare of the Contractor’s personnel. Additionally the PM will be required to ensure that all services are provided in an efficient and timely manner to internationally accepted standards.

Requirements

Requirements:

•A minimum of 10 years experience as a senior project manager in similar projects and/or similar roles for the UN, international organizations or large corporations.
•Experience in conflict/post conflict zones, the East Africa and Horn of Africa Regions, especially in Somalia is desirable.
•He/ She must be fluent in spoken and written English, demonstrate strong financial, management and inter-personal skills with an ability to communicate effectively and to take decisive action particularly during emergency situations.
