Project Planner - Dukhan

Due to continued success in the country we are now seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our already established team in Qatar.

The Project Planner will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the project programme and contractor progress in accordance with the contract and deliverables. The Project Planner will also act as the interface between Contractor and Site Supervision Team at site related meetings working closely with other members of the site supervision team and reporting to the Senior Project Planner.

The successful candidate will monitor the contractors progress, produce monthly progress reports, review construction phasing and provide cause and effect impact analysis.

Responsibilities
- Review the contractors programme and provide advice on completion and completion percentages
- Review the 3 week look ahead programme; monitor and report on programme and progress
- Report to the Senior Project Planner and direct support to the Resident Engineer
- Be responsible for all aspects of the planning and programming of the works
- Review, monitor and authorise the contractors programme
- Monitor and authorise contractors progress and prepare relevant construction dashboards for compliance with Atkins and the Client
- Monitor project risks, issues, resources and CPM and assist in providing solutions to Project Controls Manager and the Resident Engineer, complying with Atkins and the Clients standards and codes
- Attending onsite / offsite meeting as requested by the client / PMC
- Prepare the progress reports required by the PMC and the client and any other requirements by the PMC
- Assessment of contractors claims / extension of time requests associated by coordination with the quantity surveyor / commercial department

Requirements

- A minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent degree from recognised university.
- Charted, Licensed or Professional certification from an internationally recognised governing body is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant post graduate experience including more than 3 years in planning of major road works, utilities and drainage projects.
- Able to demonstrate a strong hands on knowledge of the Primavera P3 and P6
- Extensive knowledge of how to use P6 as a projects controls tool
- Create programmes, resource load, cost loadings, report and monitor the critical path
- Provide technical support when reviewing potential EoT claims from the contractor, must have the ability to carry out delay impact assessments
- Experience in the Middle East region is essential, whilst Qatar experience is preferred
