Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. The planner will be responsible for looking after multiple plans and supporting programmes and projects as they mobilise, manage and maintain plans for project delivery.
2. Ensure common practice for project planning and reporting within the whole programme.
3. Planning, organizing, attention to detail, stakeholder management (able to work with stakeholders at all levels and engage)
4. As a planner attention to detail is key to ensure accuracy of plans and able to support initiation, maintenance and changes to plans with the stakeholders. And still maintain a practical approach.
5. To ensure that the project Gantt chart is accurate, complete and maintained on a frequent basis and that the project is executed in alignment with that plan.
6. Define and manage project/engagement RAID (Risk, Assumption, Issue and Dependency) registers, ensuring that non-conformances are managed and communicated appropriately to internal and external stakeholders
7. To establish and report against a set of agreed performance indicators that are used to measure the performance of the delivery and used to drive future improvements.
8. Manage the project schedules in accordance with the project work breakdown structure and ensuring that project schedules are developed
9. Ensure that project schedules conform to the Change Control Process, in terms of liaison, communication and calculation of change notes and change orders.
10. Produce planning reports for input into the monthly reporting process
11. Ensure that standard Project Planning requirements are met, understood and Embedded from both Contractors and Sub-Contractors into the project systems.
12. Carry out risk analysis, downtime analysis and delay mitigation analysis.

Requirements

1. Project/programme planning experience in Multidiscipline and multilevel Projects
2. Strong MS Project skills (as well as Excel and other MS Office applications)
3. Minimum of 3 years professional Project Planning experience
4. Competence Primavera P6 experience or MS Project qualified
5. 3 to 5 years' experience in planning and scheduling with exposure to industry standard tools and techniques or a track record of successful mobilization of at least 2 medium/large implementations
6. Candidates must have good presentation experience, and will have previously been a Planner in highly complex environments for a portfolio of projects.
7. Good communications and interpersonal and team working skills, in both English and French.
8. Formal Project Management Training/Project Management Institute (PMI) qualifications or similar.
