Project Section Engineer

Job description / Role

- Manage & monitor all the activities of the section & report to the construction manager
- Supervision of all related activities, but not limited to, earthworks, road works, pavements, structures & other incidental works.
- Supervising & managing sub-contractors
- Ensuring Quality & timely delivery of works within budget in compliance with the work program.
- Coordinate & interface with other engineers on regular basis.
- Allocate & ensure optimum utilization of all the resources to deliver high productivity.
- Monitor the costs within budget and shall be accountable for non-compliance, time & cost over-run.
- Coordinate with QC engineer to ensure all works are executed in compliance with the specifications prior to any inspection being undertaken
- Review all inspection reports for compliance
- Coordinate with the Consultants supervising engineers on regular basis.
- Coordinate with the subcontractors to ensure timely completion & maintain QC requirements
- Attend the weekly progress meetings
- Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices
- Compliance with the site's health and safety regulations
- Checking material receipts, consumption & providing reconciliations.
- Any other duties assigned by the construction manager.

Requirements

Professional Civil Engineer having extensive work experience of minimum 3 years in GCC out of a total of 7-10 years and at least 3-5 years in similar capacity mainly in road and bridges construction dealing with road construction Management, Site Operation and liaison with Consultant supervising engineers.
