Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Project Services Team leader provides project management services to the sub-projects in the areas of estimating, scheduling, planning, and cost, risk and information management.
This is a line management role, reporting to the Project Services Manager, and typically responsible for leading a team of approx 3 personnel. Looking for candidates for roles based in the US, UK and Europe.

*Planning & Scheduling:
Manage the planning and schedule co-ordination for the inter-discipline teams' activities and prepare schedule plans at the appropriate level of detail to describe and track progress of the discipline activities.
Manage the development of appropriate schedules, implement, and monitor schedules within a project stage and for the Delivery Team up to completion/close-out.
Ensure robust forecasting of schedule and budget procedures and processes are embedded in the sub-team

*Cost & Budget Controls:
Manage the coordination / preparation of facilities cost estimates and benchmark costs throughout each project stage.
Ensure the development of appropriate budgets. Implement and monitor costs within each project stage and for the entire project until completion/close-out.
Establish and maintain a robust cost forecasting system with audit path back to original budgets.
Coordinate preparation of Cost & Schedule Risk analysis.

*Information Management
Maintain a project document management system compliant with BP standards and with interface requirements of parties with whom we contract. Maintain integrity of data access.
Develop robust data management processes to ensure successful document handover to Operations at project completion.
Preparation the Project Monthly report for the Delivery Team.

*Risk & Change Management
Participate in risk identification workshops and maintain Risk Register
Provide internal Project Management Team 'audit' of Risk Management activities
Maintain the project Management of Change process, and integrate with other disciplines

Requirements

Have a relevant Engineering degree/Scientific discipline.

*Legal authorization to work in UK Project experience including project services and support

*Supervisory experience, including the leadership of others.

*Candidates should have a project services background with experience gained in a major capital project. Experience must include general project management knowledge.

*Self-motivation and a high level of individual initiative and self-reliance will be required.

*Strong written & verbal communication skills
