The Role


The Role


Our client, is a fast growing local financial institution based in Dubai looking for an experienced individual to join them as a Project & Strategy Analyst within their Finance Department. The role holder's key accountabilities & responsibilities are:

• To implement a project monitoring discipline by having a formal project management framework within the organisation.
• To contribute to the feasibility studies of the new strategic agenda / initiatives that the bank embarks on.
• To assist in follow up on the strategic agenda and identify if these are on track and highlight and submit report with suggestive measures through regular reporting. If there is a slippage, record the reasons and suggest means for improvement.
• To carry out competitive analysis and benchmarking from strategic perspective with regard to business volumes, products and services offering, pricing and yields and any comparative advantage / disadvantage. This will assist in formulation of SWOT at competition level.
• To assist in central strategy document at a bank level consolidating the growth and assessing impacts on capital level, performance and regulatory ratios maintained which will form the basis of capital planning document as required by Basle II framework.
• Provide analytical support for special investment, potential opportunities or related projects through understanding of corporate finance and capital budgeting.

Dimensions of the Role:

To deliver effective project progress reports, Gantt charts and critical paths to assist management in timely identification of risk and suggesting alternative solutions for corrective measures.

Background and Experience:
• CA/CFA / MBA with strong IT background
• Should have at least 3 to 5 years of financial experience in a banking environment.
• Excellent technical skills with various programs.
