Project and Design Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the General Manager, the Project and Design Manager is responsible for the management of multiple simultaneous designs and projects, across the region. She/he is involved in the animation and coaching of dedicated teams of professionals who ensure consistent high quality and timely deliverables.

Main Responsibilities

•Domain focus
•Prepare the annual scope of work for the domain and organizing for adequate resources and know how
•Discuss and defining their deployment plans with brand owners or representatives or operators
•Ensure that the team has the information and ability to execute the projects in line with client expectations.
•Survey competitors, their concept implementations, quality, and the service suppliers.
•Client relationship
•Regular business review with clients/ brands
•Yearly pre-budget meetings with clients
•Producing yearly project book by project type, providing project report and post mortem.
•Ensuring all required information for project database is provided to the client
•Quality control
•Validation of initial scope of work and allocation of resources.
•Validation of design and layout prior submission
•Regular monitoring and inspection of project progress, quality and adherence to budget.
•Validation of any subsequent modification or alternative
•Validation of snags list
•Man management and coaching
•Involvement in the recruitment process
•Managing and coaching the domain project team(s)
•Involved in the annual appraisal of own team members

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

Be A fluent Arabic Speaker

Have Degree in Architecture or Interior Design

Have a minimum of 7 years post qualification experience

Will have a strong Retail portfolio

Will have gained work experience outside of the Middle East Region.
