Job description / Role
The Project Control Manager ensures the Planning, Scheduling, and time and cost control activities for the project. He acts and reports to project management for the project control activities related to the Contract’s scope of work. His functions also includes the following:
Carrying out the planning of the project in liaison with the other positions of the project organization,
Ensuring the availability of suitable system for the project time scheduling and cost control;
Working out and updating the scheduling and the project progress reports, in liaison with the other positions of the project organization, pointing out any deviations to the project management and concerned positions;
Monitor the progress of the project concerning the scope of work, indicating where corrective actions are required and reassessing priorities in cooperation with the project management as needed.
Recording, on the basis of the initial cost estimate, direct and indirect costs and referring to the project management the current deviations and those expected by the end of the project.
]Supporting the project management in the assessment of the economic risks. With a sound understanding on project commercial issues and cost control
Taking part in the definition of the economic amendments to the contract.
Preparing periodical reports, giving assistance to the project management in the contacts with the Client project Control Manager.
Manages the activity of the Document Control Coordinator and the document control team for scheduling and controlling the elaboration and distribution of documents.
Reporting/Monitoring Manpower, Man-hours, Resources, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Should be Degree Qualified with a minimum of 10 years PCM experience working with a main contractor
Should have previous Middle East experience working on major projects and responsible for managing the Project Controls Department
Must have a working knowledge of Primavera (P6) Software
