Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities

Develop Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract

Develop and administer totally integrated EPC schedules / cost control programs.

Recommend solutions or recovery plans to schedule/cost impact or delays.

Analyze variances in cost and schedules performance against the plans, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management.

Provide Status of Reserves and Contingencies.

Coordinate the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provides status reporting.

Provide meaningful, accurate historical data.

Verify specified quantities, direct costs, indirect costs and productivity factors.

Responsible for the preparation of project schedules.

Allocate manpower and costs in the project schedules.

Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the initial manpower planning.

Collect relevant information to enable the preparation of the earned value reports.

Analyze project information and advice on progress and trends that project overruns, savings and potential problems.

Control and report material costs and status compared to the budget.

Requirements

10 years post-graduate experience, with at least 7 years in a major construction company.

Desirable to have at least 2 years previous GCC experience.

University Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Proven background in Project Control.

Proactive approach to decision making.

Organisational ability in a multi-interface/technically demanding environment.

Automated cost management systems and excellent communication skills.

Should have a degree from a recognized college or university in a relevant subject, e.g., Business Administration, preferably, a qualification in computer studies.
