Projects Coordinator

Job description / Role

The Project Coordinator is to manage & coordinate the activities of the Contractor on Site to ensure that the project is delivered in line with the contract.

Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with National & International standards & appropriate legislation
- Regularly check the progress & the quality of the works to ensure that the quality of the delivered work meets the required standards
- If the progress & or quality does not match the required specification implement plans to ensure that standards are met, in consultation with the Projects Manager
- Ensure that the method of Construction meets the required safety standards
- Attend site meetings & provide advice on any claims for Extension of Time or Delay
- Track project changes & produce updated site based schedule as agreed with the Contractor & Projects Director/Manager
- Ensure site safety of all construction personnel

Requirements

- BSc/BTech – Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of construction activities
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Control
- Extensive Site knowledge & Supervision skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project & or Primavera
- Goal driven
- Work unsupervised & independently
- Ability to work with Contractors personnel who are from varied backgrounds & have various skill levels
- Ability to organise & manage multiple tasks
- Ability to resolve problems on site
- Good Interpersonal skills
