Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Responsible for setting the Bid Winning Strategy.
• Agree all Bid Strategies and ensure they are clearly communicated to the bid team.
• Manage and co-ordinate the bid team, to ensure adherence to all pre agreed strategies.
• Engage with colleagues and record success factors, best practice and sharing of knowledge
• Ensure knowledge of the market place; understand competitor positions and possible client requirements.
• Manage the preparation of pre-qualification and overall tender documentation
• Produce bid programmes and ensure they are maintained to accurate ly reflect the target dates.
• Produce Project Execution Plans, and ensure they are up to date when awarded and handed over to the construction team.
• Manage professional teams, specialists and all externally appointed consultants.
• Manage bid cost expenditure within agreed Bid Cost set by the Estimation & Tendering
Director.
• Ensure that all solutions are meet the requirements of the client within affordability constraints.
• Ensure that solutions are innovative and competitive.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing the company at meetings, promoting the correct company image. Chair meeting where appropriate.
• Represent the Company in all pre- and post-tender meetings.
• Comply with the requirements, procedures and approvals required within the Integrated
Management System and Risk Management System (when established).
• Review and monitor progress, resolve key issues and report to Associate Directors
• Hold regular review meetings with the Bid Team to ensure progress in line with Bid Programme
• Prepare and submit all answers and presentations for the post-tender clarifications and satisfy clients’ requirements on time.

Requirements

• BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field as minimum
• Master Degree is desirable
• 15 years min. of experience in construction industry with min. 5 years in the GCC
• 5 years relevant experience in preparation of bids and tenders is a must
• Knowledge of Qatar construction market
• Expertise with MS Word and Primavera applications
• Conversant with relevant estimation software
• Excel experience is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to coordinate activities of multiple proposal participants to meet schedule
• Good writing (English), technical editing skills
• Attention to detail and stickler for quality
• FIDIC Knowledge
