Employment: Full Time

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Projects QS Manager with a thorough background in Building/Infrastructure construction to join the true leader in the construction business in the Middle East. This position will oversee various QS functions (Measurement; Costing; Claims; Variation Orders; Payment Certificates; Commercial studies of projects etc.) for more than one project from the Head Office. We are looking for someone very smart who can lead a team of talented young QS team and elevate the Engineering Directorate QS function to greater heights. The position will be reporting to Engineering Directorate - QS Manager.

Job responsibilities include:
- Provide QS support to estimation (Studies) department for tenders by leading a QS team.
- Engage with Planning / Pre-Construction department for establishing project budget and monitoring system by leading a QS team.
- Establish proper QS function at newly awarded projects and design reporting system to head office.
- Engage with PMO offices and ensure that proper QS practices are established and maintained at project(s).
- Engage with PMO offices at project closeout to ensure proper QS data of the project(s) are reported to the Engineering Directorate for later references and to ensure that the lessons learned from the project are reported to the Engineering Directorate.

Requirements

- Minimum 8 years of experience as QS Manager which 5 years preferably in GCC.
- Extensive lead quantity surveying experience working across major construction projects.
- Extensive experience working within engineering or project based quantity surveying/estimating environments.
- Ability to successfully manage and supervise a team of Quantity surveyors.
- Should have experience/knowledge of QS related software.
- Should have experience in working on BIM Model to generate Bill of Quantities & Bill of Materials.
- Strong QS functional skills combined with solid all round project management including a working knowledge of the tender process, contract administration, client / stakeholder management and project delivery.
- Should be able to make professional and productive relationships with consultants, subcontractors and other stake holders.
- Must have a strong commercial acumen and commercial awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Degree level qualification in QS/Civil stream.
- RICS or other reputed memberships/certifications.
