Job description / Role
Allen & York Middle East have been charged to recruit an experienced Proposals Manager for power projects to be based in Dubai. Our client is a leading international engineering consultancy. Position is in resident status and offers very strong career development opportunities.
Starting date ASAP.
The Proposals Manager take full responsibility of proposals preparation, delivery, negotiation and closing. This will include, amongst others, understanding the RfPs from the commercial and from the technical point of view, coordinating all internal interfaces with the headquarters and with other entities of the company, coordinating all external interfaces with sub-contractors and partners, managing the relations with the client, ensuring full compliance with the sales processes, defining the competitive price, ensuring timely delivery of the offer, following-up during bid evaluation periods and negotiating with the client until final award.
Requirements
Moreover, the Proposals Manager will follow-up the satisfaction of the client during the contract execution. He/she will be in charge of consolidating the relationship with existing clients and grow the business with them.
The Proposals Manager will be expected to develop new clients in accordance with the strategy and the prospection plan defined for the GCC Region. In extension, he/she will maintain and contribute to the regions Commercial Report, Sales Plan, Prospection Plans and related administrative requirements.
The Proposals Manager will report to the Business Development Director.
The role will be based in Dubai, UAE, with frequent travels to GCC countries as may be required.
Requirements:
Bachelor in Engineering
7-12 years of sales / proposals / business development in the power and/or gas sector in the Middle East
Strong negotiation skills
Able to listen to, and to understand client's needs; an ability to articulate these needs into a service offering
An analytical and synthetic spirit
Autonomous and solution-oriented; yet a team player
Strong communication skills, evident at all levels
Fluent in English. Practical knowledge of French and/or Arabic is a plus
