Job description / Role
Parsons Brinckerhoff has been appointed as a Consulting Engineer by Mazoon Electricity Company (MZEC) in Oman to perform the consultancy services for three years for reviewing, designing, monitoring and supervising the construction of primary substations, 33&11 KV OHL and U/G line works, distribution substation and also associated gird stations.
Due to this we are currently looking to recruit a number of Engineers to be part of this project.
The role will be based in Muscat and will need to travel to the various sites in Oman, This role will be part of an exciting project and represents an exceptional challenge and it is essential that you have a track record in being involved in significant power distribution projects. Design and reviews for the protection systems.
At the moment we are looking to appoint Protection Engineers (Design).
Requirements
- Master / Bachelor degree of Engineering in Electrical / power
- Should have minimum 10 yrs. experience in the similar field in which 5 year GCC experience
- Software experience in designing
- Preparation of tender documents, BOQ and tender drawing knowledge
- Market changes research experience
- Pre contract engineering experience
- SCADA / PROTECTION working knowledge
- Design of electrical protection system complying with IEC,IEEE,NEMA,OES and other prevailing latest standards
- Review of technical submittals for the contract pertaining to technical
- Work towards standardization of technical drawings and schemes related to technical drawings of the systems involved.
