Charterhouse is working with a media services business based in Qatar. Due to continued success and growth our client is looking to hire a Public Relations Manager (Qatari National) to join their team.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Communications Director you will play a critical role in developing brand awareness combined with securing national press for the companys brands. You will also develop and implement strategic PR programmes to increase brand awareness. Other duties will include developing and maintaining key media relationships, managing editorial calendars as well as collecting and analysing media coverage.

In addition you will manage marketing agencies relationships and any corporate events including press conferences, exhibitions and external executives meetings. You will also write, draft and edit press releases, editorial pieces and CEO speeches. Having a high awareness of social media, you will use it to market the company efficiently.

Requirements

The successful candidate should hold a bachelors Degree in journalism, communications, marketing or public affairs. You should also have at least six years experience in public relations and corporate communications of which two years should be in a managerial or supervisory role. It is essential you have excellent communication skills as well as copywriting experience in English and Arabic.
