Job description / Role
It is the responsibility of the PRO to process Oman based employee visas and work permits by liaising with Government Departments and its agencies along with any other related tasks. To provide an effective and quality level of service relating to all visa issues, guiding and advising staff on all PRO matters, developing and implementing procedures and work routines.
• Work closely with the Commercial/Legal department to renew, update and maintain the trade licenses, commercial registration and other government certificates as required.
• Liaising with the required Government departments and Government bodies such as, Barka Municipality, PAEW, Royal Omani Police, Omantel, Ministry of Transport and Housing
• Arrange legal translations of documents such as letter of authorization, power of attorney, constitutional documents or any other letters for various purposes as required
• Arrange visas for expatriates and their families.
• Schedule staff’s visa, medicals and coordinating with other internal and external departments.
• Ensure all visa, medical and labour permits are up to date and arrange timely renewal
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including good command of English language in written and spoken form
Requirements
• Minimum high school certificate
• A minimum of 10 years’ PRO experience and in depth knowledge of Government Affairs processes in Oman
• Proven experience liaising with the required Government departments and Government bodies such as, Barka Municipality, PAEW, Royal Omani Police, Omantel, Ministry of Transport and Housing
• Experience of working in an English speaking environment
• Excellent computer skills.
• Must be reliable.
• Good command of both English and Arabic oral and written
• Well presented
