Purchase Officer

Job description / Role

- To perform, coordinate and follow up all activities related to sourcing and procuring of materials and services.
- Study the procurement request by originator approved by the Department Manager for other technically equivalent at the most economic feasibility.
- Find out for possibilities of Re-Engineering for the requested items.
- Preparation of enquiries and purchase orders for the approved items.
- Complete responsibility of sourcing and up to preparation of the consolidated comparative statement for selected items in cost cutting projects.
- Liaise with the freight forwarding Agent and Shipping department to get the materials delivered up to the factory.
- Maintain Gate pass register for items going in and out of the company.
- Liaise with suppliers for fault repairing of procured tools and equipments covered under warranty or outside warranty as and when required.
- Keep the confidentiality of data and information.
- Record new suppliers details in full for future use.
- Maintain system driven recording of data for Operational Freedom and Future references.
- Proper follow up of overseas orders to ensure that items reaching the stores, conforming to the required qualities and in committed time span.
- Inform immediate superior of any abnormality occurring in the assigned area.
- Ensure procedures and work instructions of the quality management system are being followed.

Requirements

- 3+ years experience in Manufacturing or building construction back ground.
- Engineering graduate
- Any Certification in Purchase

Preferred Nationality: Arabic & Filipinos

Skills:
- SAP / ERP / MS Office
