Job description / Role
Objective: To manage the Purchase and Co-Operation Department and all associated processes within
Main Responsibilities:
1.Indirect purchasing - sourcing new suppliers and preparing necessary contracts
2.Co-operating with the production and planning departments
3.Local Supplier liaison and negotiation
4.Implement Vendor Evaluation Process and Approved Supplier list
5.Supplier Auditing
6.Translating production plans into raw material requirements
7.Creating orders for raw materials and sending these orders through to HQ
8.Ensuring that production runs correctly and instigating remedial actions if there are any problems with production
9.Using SAP system
10.Controlling and monitoring stock levels
11.Ensuring customs clearance requirements are met
12.Working with transport and logistics to ensure smooth transition of raw materials
13.Travelling on business only when required to fulfill a particular aspect of role
14.Any other duty reasonably corresponding with the role
Reporting to: Purchase Director
Subordinates: No Subordinates
Other interactions: Technical, Quality and Financial Departments
Number required: 1
Duration: Permanent position, 2-year contract
Desired start date: September 1,2014
Probation: 6 months from date of joining
Working hours: Sun-Thursday 9am-6pm
Gross monthly base salary: 6,000 - 7,999 AED

Requirements
University Qualifications: BBA
Nature and length of previous experience: 1-2 years UAE experience is required in relevent
Specialist knowledge: Supply chain
