We are currently looking for a Director of Purchasing to take the lead in regards to the implementation and execution of Strategic procurement in alignment with our Business objectives. As the Director of Purchasing you will be joining a highly motivate and successful team of professionals based in Dubai. Working closely with the Group Director of Purchasing you will be required to lead and manage a large team accross a number of businesses located accross the GCC. This role will also require you to establish and maintain effective supplier relations and effective supply routes into theaters and missions in order to optimize costs. As a leader with extensive experience you will be able to add value by bringing all of your experience and know-how to the table. Our business is currently undergoing some exciting changes and will there for require a candidate who is forward thinking, open to new ideas and avenues with the ability to facilitate change in order to support the success of the business.

•10 years of relevant Purchasing experience.
•Post Graduate qualifications in Supply Chain related areas.
•Verifiable work experience in a variety of different areas such as MRO, Technical, FMCG, Retail and preferably Oil and Gas etc.
•Explicit knowledge of procurement process and markets.
•Self motivating, persuasive, communicative and engaged personality, with entrepreneurial characteristics.
•E- procurement, E-sourcing and E- auctioning experience.
•Excellent negotiation skills, analytical thinking and leadership experience.
•Cross functional management skills.
•Experience of managing large teams on 20-30 people.
