The RoleThe RoleOur client, a prestigious bank is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate has to manage purchase targets profitably by acting as an effective liaison in dealings between vendors and user departments. Responsibilities: Assist in development of contract management, policies, and procedures to accomplish procurement of a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner. Plan, direct and coordinate activities of buyers and support staff engaged in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment / machinery and supplies. Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interact with them to determine product availability and terms of purchase. Recommend major purchases of materials on the basis of anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations. Monitor performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitments. |
RequirementsRequirements University degree in Purchasing and Procurement or equivalent. At least 7 years of experience in purchasing experience preferably with a bank in the GCC.
